Saint John: Youth water polo is fun!!!

If you love swimming...

If you love action...

If you love games...

Then waterpolo is the sport for you!

Water polo involves three components: fitness, skills and the game. Water polo allows kids to have fun while learning basic skills, tactics and rules of the game. We provide a positive environment that promotes fitness, friendship, teamwork and sportsmanship. Water polo is the perfect answer for those parents who want to involve their children in a sport that promotes total body fitness with very little impact on joints. Injuries are rare at this level of play. Kids like water polo so much because it's fun and it's unique. It's like soccer in the water, played with 7 players on each team, including the goalie. You swim

with the ball or pass it and try to score on the other goal. No water polo experience is necessary, but players should be comfortable in deep water. We recommend Red Cross Swim Kids 7 or equivalent. Our water polo is an introductory, recreational water polo program for boys and girls. We have two different age groups, 12Under ages 8-12 and 16Under ages 13-16

Come join in the fun!

Saint John: Adult water polo

There has been a water polo program at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre since 2004. Under the guidance of an experienced coach, teens and adults (ages 16-50) practice twice a week to develop skills of the sport, scrimmage and learn tournament play. The sport is incredibly fun and physically challenging, providing excellent cross training for almost any activity. Extra clinics and inter-provincial tournaments are planned every season, for those wanting to progress to a more competitive level.

Practice time is Thursdays, 8 - 9 PM at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in Saint John.
